How to Add YouTube Video to PowerPoint

A presentation aims to captivate the audience by interestingly presenting concepts and data. When preparing presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, it is usually a good idea to include a video or two, even though many people find information made using static, quiet slides that could be more interesting.

It is a good idea to insert videos online rather than uploading them yourself, as your presentations must be accessible. Unless you want or prefer offline playback, uploading a video from your PC can significantly increase the file size of your presentation. This is a severe drawback.

As of this writing, there is just one way to add videos to Mac OS X systems.

As a result, the procedure is more efficient, making it simple for users to learn and apply it fast to new projects.

Method 1: Use the “Search YouTube” function in PowerPoint.

Insert Youtube Video in PowerPoint

Microsoft has added a tool that lets you search YouTube without ever leaving PowerPoint in response to the growing popularity of YouTube videos. It is easier to add a video to your slide with this, and it expedites your workflow by eliminating the need to switch between windows.

Note: You must have a functional internet connection while presenting if you want your video to play inside of it.

If you don’t want to play your Video directly from PowerPoint, you can embed it using a link and open it in a web browser instead. This is particularly helpful if you want to add narration to your Video or if you prefer to display no other information on the screen while the Video is playing in full-screen mode. The process is simple and easy to complete.

Note: You will want a functional internet connection while presenting if you wish for your Video to open in a web browser after being clicked in your presentation.
