Office apps iOS: How to Set Up and Install on an iPad or iPhone

The fact that Office lets you begin working almost anywhere is one of its most amazing advantages. All you need to do is log in using your Office 365 or free Microsoft account.

Better then, if you have an Office 365 subscription, you can even access some awesome bonus features. This guide will show you how to install and set up your Office applications on your iPhone or iPad.

A brief note: You will need to install the desktop version for Office apps iOS.

How to install Office apps iOS

Step 1: Logging in

You must sign in first. Download Word or any other Office apps iOS program from the program Store. Next, to open that app, tap on it.

Then, sign in to your Microsoft account or Office 365 account.

You can use your email address to establish a Microsoft or Office 365 account right now if you do not already have one. You will not pay anything at all to do this.

Step 2: Should I upgrade to Office 365?

Only if you are using a version that is linked to Office 2016 or Office 2019 is this step applicable. A request to subscribe to Office 365 will appear. You are free to skip this step entirely by selecting maybe later.

To make a plan purchase, adhere to the directions provided in the app. It is important to note that purchasing Office 365 entitles you to many more capabilities not available in the standard version.

Step 3: Enhance the Office apps iOS environment or not

After that, Microsoft Office will ask if you want to assist them in making the Office apps iOS experience better. To proceed, simply choose between ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

Additionally, the system will ask you to choose whether or not to receive notifications. To enable notifications, click switch on; if you think you could live without them, click not now.

Step 4: Starting a new document

Now is the time for your initial document.

Press “create” and “edit” to get to work. It is not required to go through the sign-in process for every app on the same device once you have logged into your Microsoft or Office 365 account on an Office apps iOS. Instead, all other apps on the same device will be signed in automatically using the same account.

Step 5: Include further services

By selecting Add Place after hitting Open, you may incorporate additional services like Dropbox or OneDrive into your application. In the event that OneNote is being used, select Accounts from the Settings menu.

Select the services you’d like to add to the app, then access them by entering your email and password.

If you are often on the go, having Office on your iPhone or iPad is a terrific way to carry your work with you.

But sometimes, things do not work out the way they should. Upon setting up your office, you may run across some queries or problems. A brief troubleshooting guide for frequently asked questions is provided below:

Using an Office apps iOS to open documents

It is actually pretty easy, this one. All you need to do is tap the service where your files are saved, and they should appear there. Keep in mind that the programs can only open files that are compatible with them; if you use Word, you can only open Word files.
