Why? due to Word’s boring default font. Calibri, an 11-point typeface, is the default font in Microsoft Word 2007 and onwards. The font used in Word 6.0 (1993) until Word 2007 was Times New Roman. Twelve points. While both typefaces are highly functional, why go with the default when there are so many other options?

Users may customize the default font for various typefaces in Word documents by simply clicking on the styles and selecting the appropriate font for each style. To do this, select a style from the menu by clicking on it. For instance, after selecting the “Normal” style, select “Modify.” This will initiate the “Normal” style and offer you a multitude of options. The typeface can be found in the formatting section.
